Somewhere along the lines I had children and stopped doing yoga, and the calm, relaxed feelings in both my muscles and my mind disappeared. I was very happy to try out this yoga DVD and have to say it's excellent in every way. The scenery is beautiful, the poses are correct and accurate, and she even provides alternative poses, especially for those with knee pain. Although this is called a beginners yoga DVD, I would have to still recommend taking at least 6-8 live classes with an in-person instructor to get the basics down. If you don't do the poses correctly you could injure yourself and may not get the benefits. Once you have a good understanding of yoga, this becomes an excellent dvd to continue in your own home at your convenience. The great thing is that Shiva Rea also has several other yoga dvd's to keep things interesting.
